Australia in India ODIs kick-start Today
On a roll after decimating Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli's team will be aiming for another comprehensive show against a depleted Australia team, who are without their top two pacers, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood.
India was all over the hapless Sri Lankans in the latter's own den without having to break the sweat. Virat Kohli and Co won all the three Test matches, five ODIs and one T20 international to return unblemished. But in Australia, the hosts will face stiffer competition simply because of the quality of players the visitors' possess.
Even without their pace spearheads Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, who were ruled out due to injuries, the Steve Smith-led side has the likes of Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar could prove to be handful.
Australia's recent ODI form has been atypically horrendous away from home. They lost their last eight completed matches on the road, last winning one in September 2016, against Ireland.
In contrast, India has lost just three of their last 15 ODIs, all away from home. They've preferred wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav to finger spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, and possess two of the best end-overs specialists in Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
