USA President Donald Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon has stepped down. The White House spokesman Sarah Huckabee Sanders of the American Presidential Office confirmed their separation from the Trump administration.

Steve Bannon played an important role in the victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election last year.

Democratic leaders and civil rights activists have welcomed the separation of Mr. Bannon.
