These services need to be linked with Aadhaar and here are the deadlines

It is mandatory to link Aadhaar with many services like mobile phones and bank accounts. Deadlines for linking Aadhaar with various services have been extended in the past but do not try your luck too much. So it is high time to link your Aadhaar with these services as soon as possible. 


So here we have listed all the services that need to be linked with Aadhaar and the deadlines for the same. 

PAN The deadline to link Aadhaar with PAN was extended to March 31, 2018 from the earlier December 31, 2017 

To link Aadhaar with PAN log on to the Income Tax department's e-filing portal -- www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

Then enter your Aadhaar and PAN number, your name as mentioned in Aadhaar Card and the captcha code. Then click the 'Link Aadhaar' button. 

Mobile
You have time till February 6, 2018, to link your Aadhaar with your mobile number. The linking can be done at a store or a service centre of a service provider, or by calling customer service. 

Post January 1, you can do the same through IVR and one-time password modes. 

Bank account By now, you might already have got reminders from your banker for the same. Note that the deadline to do the same is December 31, 2017. So you do not much time really. The linking can be carried out at the bank's branch or through the internet or mobile banking. 

Mutual fund folio CAMS and Karvy are sending emails to those who have mutual funds to seed their Aadhaar number. If you haven't received it yet, you can initiate the process from your end. 

To do that go to the CAMS or Karvy website and click on the 'Link Your Aadhaar' tab. Follow the steps to fill in the form and submit it, then enter the OTP generated and sent to your registered mobile number to complete the linking process. 

Insurance policies You can link Aadhaar to your insurance policies by logging on to the website or visiting the customer service department of your insurance provider. In most cases, you are only required to provide your policy number and date of birth for the verification. Once verified, you will be asked to update your Aadhaar number. At present, only LIC, SBI Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Max Life Insurance offer online Aadhaar linking services. 

Post office schemes 
Aadhaar linking is mandatory for opening or holding a Post Office account or investing in small savings schemes like NSC and PPF. To do this, log on to the India Post website, download the Aadhaar linkage form, fill it up and submit it to the post office where you hold an account. 

Universal Account Number (UAN) It is mandatory to link Aadhaar-UAN to open or hold an Employees' Provident Fund, or EPF, account.
